Re: VECTRA DOOR HANDLE USING KEY

I fitted the Micro Switch to the Corsa Backing Plate, and the Striker Part did make contact, with the Micro Switch...
So that should also work, but will need to be Tested...
TEST CONDUCTED!!!

I fitted a Corsa Door Handle to a Calibra recently...
It's pretty much the same as the Vectra Part, just that it uses a different type of Key...
The most important thing in getting the Dead Locking to work, is the Door Locking Link...
There are a few variations of these, but only 2 will actually work...
The Blue one with the Lug off a Corsa, will work...
The Black one that came off the Vectra, won't work...

Re: Fitting 'Key Operated' Vectra Door Handles...
UPDATE...
After many hours of experimenting with the Shorter Calibra Barrel,
and the Longer Vectra Barrel, I finally had some success...
I can now use my 'Original Key' again, to operate the New Vectra Door Handle...
It's quite a delicate job, and it took me a few attempts to get it right, but I knew it had to work...
You simply transfer over the 7 tumblers noting their correct positions, from Calibra to Vectra, Key Barrel...
Yay... No need to have 2 different keys anymore!!!
