decoding a vauxhall stereo

can anyone help me to unlock a vauxhall radio a friend has tryed to put the code into her radio and got it wrong too meny times now its saying its locked can it be unlocked and how

what stereo is it mate as there is a couple of different procedures first on is diconnect the stereo from the battery, so it has no,power
how many times was the code put in ?
as if it was 10 times ,the stereo has to be diconnected for 10 hrs
