Billing 2012 the Awards

Well as everyone knows this year’s show was cancelled due to adverse weather

Due to this we could not therefore do the usual awards this year, we have made a decision to award these to those that had actually attended and braved the storm. This was based on the knowledge of the actually cars and views from people who have actually seen the cars at Billing or know them well enough to offer an opinion

So after a few phone calls by Mr. C to various people, and comparing the choices from these people, a final list has been made up as follows


Best of show………............ Callyman
Best Interior................... V6 Steve
Best engine bay………........ Shaza
Best Standard car……......…Richard..Pinner man
Best Ice ..........................Phantom
Best Presented…………........Ally
Achievement Award…….....Norrie

It was also suggested that since most of these will be attending Trax later this year, the actually handing out of the awards would be done there.

So I congratulate al the winners, well done to all

Also the plaques will be handed out at Trax to those that wish them for this years Billing, you will need to pay for these though at £1 each (badges are free)

For those not attending Trax these will still be available and posted out to those that wish them along with the badge, unfortunately this will mean the postage cost will need to be covered in the price (as yet to be worked out but I would say no more than £2 in total)

I shall make a separate post regarding this

WOW ...........Thanks to all that voted for me.
Congratulations to everyone who won something.
Such a shame that the weekend didnt go as planned, was really looking forward to the BBQ evening, as it's such a laugh.

As this years VBOA didnt happen then next year will be the 30th I presume.
Look forward to seeing most of you at Trax, Fingers crossed for fine weather.

when was the judging done?
why did no one ask to look in my engine bay and boot?

how can people judge the cars if they dont look inside them?
i know it was raining but in order to vote for best engine bay you must have looked in some cars?
who decides who the judges are? No one asked to see inside mine
i have spent a lot of time and money on my car i was there early friday and one
of the last to leave on saturday....As a club member I think i have a right to ask

Judges are long term members and past winner of "best in show" judging is normally done at 1.00 to 3.00 on Saturday but as you know that could not be done so judging was done on Fraz's instructions, im sorry if you feel you have missed out, but you will still have it all for next year mate
