Home made Intercooler Spray.
As previously posted I have blue petered a intercooler spray comprising of two washer jets, and old nova resevoir which is fired by a spa guage.
The resevoir is mounted alongside the battery and old intercooler, the jets are mounted either side of the intercooler, after putting it all together today, I have come across a couple of hitches, the first, the jets need to be swapped out for finer misty jets, which cars are the best to grab these off ??
The second is just plane stupid which I forgot all about, Gravity. Because the resevoir sits higher than the jets, the water just pishes out of the nozzles, any ideas how i can rectify this without moving the res, as its in a perfect place.
Cheers

for the nozzles what i did was get them from a garden centre.. the fine mist nozzles for their multifit garden watering hose/kit kinda stuff.. they mist nicely..
The nozzles will still drip, but not so much, but you need a restrictor in there of some form, one that will open under pump pressure.. i'm not sure if theres anything like that in the range for the above.. but worth a look while you're there.

Yep got a pump connected on the resevoir, but like stu says the pump still allows water to pass through even though its not firing, and with the jets been lower, it just empties the res without any help.
Stu, have you got any pics of your setup, just to give us an idea what I am aiming at.

My whole cars stripped at the moment... i suspect you'll have it sorted before I get it anywhere near back together
I never did get it all properly installed..
if you cant find a restrictor of any form i guess the other somewhat bodge/ott way to do it would be with an electrical solenoid isolator that opens on the same supply as the pump.. but im sure thats not needed.. I'll keep my eyes open, possibly pop to the garden centre where i got the nozzles.
