1 off the wires broke where this goes into the black plastic pug, so i stripped it down ans re soldered it, but i think i have them round the wrong way now!! if you was looking at the plug with the wire coming out the bottom which side would the brown wire be on??? i'll see if i can post a pic up so you can see what im trying to say!!!

just checked mine thats how mine is so its ok, looks like i need a new actuator i cant get it to hold a decent boost say 15-16psi its doesnt seem to over boost either anymore!! have to try the spring trick and see if it makes a difference

thanks for the help adam

Are you saying it's holding 15-16, or that's what it *used* to hold, and it's now a lot less?

You haven't connected the two air pipes back up the wrong way (furthest pipe from the electrical connector should go to Actuator)?

Just a thought.

hiya mate, that was my iniatial thought that they was connected wrong but checked and they are correct. it holds to about 12-13psi at the moment and doesnt seem to have any over boost but it used to over boost to about 18-19 then hold 15-16psi im gonna try the spring on the actuator later on so ill keep you informed!

cheers for the help

Ok, so this has only hapenned since you were playing with the AMAL? What about if you unplug the electrical connector from the AMAL valve, does that make any difference. If not, it would suggest there is something amiss. Be careful with your throttle if you do this, as I'm not sure if the AMAL defaults to open or shut with no control feed going to it, and if it *is* the latter (which I don't think it is) your boost may build higher than it is at the mo. Like I say, if anything I would think a dead (i.e. no power) AMAL would result in lower boost, but if you unplug it and dont notice any difference that would suggest something is wrong in that area.
