Dead motor
Hello all, Problem is been away for 8 wks, I had bought a new battery 12 weeks back ( last one just kept dying) So tried to start car no joy........ Got a jump and it started fine, Ran it up for about 30 mins at 2500rpm( didn't want to drive about with my Pedal problem- another thread.) Switch off and The damn thing wont go again............Dash lights are dim and thier is nout from the starter, immob is not even clicking anmore............
Could this be an alternator fault?? If so how would I check it?
Could the new battery be at fault? if so how to check?
Thanks for any Ideas.

Half hour won't charge the batt if it was fully drained, just waste ur petrol.
probably just drained flat over the lay up, probably a drain in the system hence the first battery going (altho they obviously do die occasionally "just because"). they're not designed to be charged/discharged all the time, this kills them.
you'll need to take it out the car and put it on a slow charger for 24-48hours then go from there it porbably won't even begin to take on a charge for the first hour or two.
