Wonky

Right where to start explaining....
The steerings alwayz been slightly off centre, so i had it tracked (about 6 months ago) it was still wonky so he tracked it slightly off to sort it temporary. Got round to changing the bottom arms and track rod ends and drop links. Got it tracked and its still off. (about 30 degrees right)
If i took off the wheel and moved it some spligns over would that sort it or if they tracked it again would I need to do that again?

Do you just mean your steering wheel is off centre?

does the car drive in a straight line ?

If it does with out any pulling etc it would be ok to just move the stearing wheel round.

Although this maynot centre it completly.

It drives ok, just when I'm going forward on either side of the road it is facing slightly right.

Cant think of anything else that would be causing it. Would I be better to just have it tracked as I did before with the wheel to one side?

i just think its your steering wheel nothing wrong with the tracking! sum1 has had the steering wheel off at some point and they ve not lined it up properly when they have replaced it!

They have the wheel straight when they track it up. Would it still make it wonky?
They use 4 wheel tracking too.

I had my tracking done once on my 8v at a KwickFit, after they finished, the wheel was way off centre, so I went back and the did it again but straight that time.

You sure it's not the people doing the tracking?

Isn't a simple job of realigning the track rod ends? Or am I being thick here?

simple job if garage does it lol yeah but if you manual do it you need at least 2 cans of wd4o to loosen bolts etc i get a garage to do it my self coz the rubber gators things are annoying esp putting new ones on

They did it about 6 months ago and it was off centre then. Thwy then tried doing it a few times more and it did the same. Since then I've had the bottom arms renewed, track rod ends and antiroll bar drop links. Got it tracked up and it's still off. Think I'm going to try somewhere else just to see, but I dont think it will do much, because if their machine didnt work it would have been picked up on by now I would have thought.
