hi can i have some advice please,my battery light its on but very dimmed when i switch my lights on and the stereo thats it is on for good,it might be the alternator rele or lose belt?

No - this can be normal on the V6 - just means the alternator is under heavy load and you've probably got a 70amp alternator in there (later V6's had 100amp or 120amp which don't do this as much).

Upgrade to a 120amp alt if/when your alt dies and you'll not see the glowing lamp again [img]/smile.gif[/img]...but I'd not be concerned about it at the mo.

Mine died without warning on a very hot day! I was lucky there was an opel dealership nearby and found an alternator.. Is it true that some calibras has a fan at the alternator to prevent from overheat?
