headlights, which bit is which!

Ive got seriusly wierd probs with my headlights, they switch the 4x4 off,the blue mainbeam comes on slightly with the lights also different ones light up on each side for each position...
Looking from the front , the outside bit is the indicator, then i know were the small tiny bulb at the top (works both sides), is that the only bulb for the sidelights?
The others , foglights,mainbeam, and std headlights whats what!,

The top bulb at the end of the light=
Middle bulb=
End bulb by indicator=

Is there a light computer that senses things like the bulbs or is it the main ecu,
Is there any link between the 4x4 syastem ecu and the lights?

Ok, so ive had this problem since i did the head gasket in about april, i took the main wire with all the pins off at the time for some reason, anyway, id plugged it in one pin around, it shouldnt have fitted but it did, ive checked it was in a few times as well and never noticed!, all the lights work now, and no 4x4 light when i put them on? so the 4x4 must be connected in some way to the passenger side light cluster!, unless it was just a short drawing the 4x4s power
