Is my car lowered or standard?

Any issues relating to suspension, steering and brakes.

Come on guys, slap a tape on it for me.

One of my rear springs has broken and woundered if you'd mind measuring from the top of the wheel arch to the ground for me front and back to see if mine are lowered.

I don't want to put standard springs on and find out that they should be lowerd. (may just go for a full set of -40 G-max anyway)

Thanks
Heather

what colour are your springs?

most lowered springs are usually red or yellow, the standard ones are black.

Would you mind measuring from the road to the wheel arch to compare

Measure from the centre of the wheel or the hub as different size tyres will give you different floor - arch heights.

Heather, it would help if you mentioned which model Cally you have as different models had different suspension as standard.

IMHO you should get a full set of lowered springs and not just renew the broken one/s.

I've only got the 8V (sorry thought I'd put that)

If the springs are standard I may just change the back ones but if I fit lower ones I will do them all.

I have been quoted £32.61 +VAT EACH for standard springs and £81 +VAT for a lower set from the same garage. Just worried about speed bumps etc. (Hubby had an Arkley lowered 3" and we couldn't go any ware where the lines were too thick on the road)

But I'm sure you will be OK with -35mm springs on you Cally. They are also a bit stiffer so don't 'dip' as much when going over the dreaded speed bumps
