Alternator types for the Calibra?

by Chavtastic » Sun Sep 25, 2005 8:55 am

Is there just a 90amp and a 120amp.... that's it?

Basically I know my car has a 120amp one (aircon etc...), so will any 120amp alternator for a Calibra fit? (ie there are no different width belts etc...)

The 120A is only avaliable on the later 3/4 belts i believe. the 70A was also avaliable on the thinner Vbelt. It's completely useless on a turbo! I'm converting a 120A to fit mine.

I have a 120amp, i just need to sort the mountings out and convert it to Vbelt shouldnt be too hard.
I think you can get the 90A in 3/4belt too. it might well be the 70a only that is Vbelt, i can't remember. if yours is duff just drop it off for recon, they're usually in exchange that sort of thing, unless you've got one off another car for cheap

Yeah I will do that come to think of it.

I've undone the three bolts holding it on (13mm) how do I slacken the belt?
