Heated seat switches will be easiest placed where they are as standard. Below the ashtray infront of the gearstick. I have a housing for sale, with TC switch, but only blanks where the heated switches go.
You should have the wiring for them. Try lifting the carpet. Should see them there.

mate, i've fitted the heated seats to my se8. the main swich wiring was tucked up behind the ashtray taped to the main loom. however i couldnt find the wiring for the seats so i did my own, very simple all colour coded. two wires per seat ones a neutral the other is the switch wire (red/black & yellow/black if i remember ) connect up under the seat then run them to the swich plug and scotch lock them to there corisponding colour easy. any probs pm me

when i fitted the leather to my 16v the wiring for the front seats was just behind the front lump on the floor that the seats bolt to, but it was under ther carpet and the 1.5" of soggy wet foam!, both were coiled up and attatched to the metal on the pasenger side, id have never found it if i hadent been changing the carpet to cream, then i found the wet sponge and decided to take it out and dry it, then i found the wiring.,
