Angel Eyes Inverter

HAS ANYONE GOT THE ANGEL EYES AND THE INVERTER (the black box) HAS BLOWN OR EVEN MELTED?

if it has how often have they went?

what power is going into the inverter is it 12v and whats the out put going to them?

Mine have been on for about 6 months with no problems.
But mine don't come on with the side lights. I have also fiited an Inline fuse.

The invertor is powered by 12V as for out put, I have no idea.
Try asking Fatladz on here as he sells them.

what was the size of fuse u used m8?

I think it was 3amp fuse.
If your wiring to the side light then u won't need a fuse.

check your alternator
sounds like they are spiked
or they have shorted out
sold 300ish sets of these thats 600 inverters and the only ones that have failed have been wired up backwards

did work fir 2 months, not wired up backwards either fraz done it for me!

what you mean "wired backwards" as in reverse polarity ..red to an earth and the black to the live???????

looks like they had been installed with scotch blocks :eek:
thats not good as scotch blocks just crimp onto the wires by slicing into them.
i hope the wires were not left dangling as they could short out and cause the car to catch fire.

nope they were not scotch bloked !!!!!

they were soldered and then insulated

i see what u might think!!

i took them off first after they were not working to investigate and split the wire to test that power was going in first!

This pic below shows to nicks in the wires as if it was scotchblocked thats what made me think it had been crimped on.
what and why are those wires bare?
