dodgy tyre

need a near nearside front tyre as mine has an 'egg' bubble in it,getting a new one fitted tomorrow.noticed on the inside of the tyre that the tread has worn considerably more than on the outside, also the car pulls to the left when braking.time to get tracking checked out or does something more sinister lurk?

all callys have positive camber, but when the tracking is off it will cause excessive wear. tattooman, is it lowered?? and what wheels have you got on??

i was told it was the camber was off on mine. ive 18s but lowered a lot more than yours. and when i saw they wore more on the inside, i mean they were completely bald and still had good thread on the outside

even standard callys wear more on inside. but i'd say if it is doing on one side of car more than other its tracking. also as the dtm is lowered standard i think they did somethin bout the camber. not sure tho

either way they will be able to tell you exactly if you get the tracking done

tracking been done, was only slightly out.told me to get the car done on a 4 wheel alignment machine to check the camber, they couldn't do it on theirs as it wouldn't go on the machine.went to charlie browns, they won't do cars with 35 series tyres on.who will do it?

what they wont do it cos the tyres are too thin?

most decent garages will do a 4 wheel lazer alignment. just keep trying around

the place that did my tyre said the front bumper would have to come off,but even then they couldn't guarantee it would work properly

usually they have to pull out a few planks to get mine up on the lift. no other way to do it without one as its a big job to even jack the car up at home.

checked the other front tyre today,no wear on the inside of that one,so will keep monitoring the situation.
