shakin stevens

My Cally's got a buckled alloy wheel. When I first got the car ,said alloy wheel was on the front drivers side. All was fine on the test driive,it was only on my way home when I got the car up to 55+mph that there was a strong vibration goin through the steerin wheel. The next day,I put the offending alloy on the rear drivers side, took the car out and it was a lot better,I could go over 55 without the feelin my wheels where comin off!
Its been fine for months until I had to get the valve changed on the buckled alloy. Now when I get to about 55 the vibration is back only it vibrates on and off every couple of seconds or so.
So my question is, is the alloy causing the vibration or the trackin/wheel alignment or somethin more serious?

Ta for any help and merry xmas

possibly balancing. but check the bolts are tight enough. tighten them like you would a cylinder head!!!

If it's when the valve was changed, it's the balancing. They probably took some of the weights off. Take it back to the garage and get it re-balanced, or take it elsewhere for the same job.

Or better still buy a new alloy!

You should be able to buy just one if they are still made. What make are they?
