Alternator

Guys,

when the revs are on idle the alternator does fook all, the voltage is on 12volts


however with slight revs on the alternator kicks in

any ideas??

Had the same problem with a recon alt a month or so back on a taxis, I assume you mean it goes back to 12v again on idle after raising the revs.
It is an alternator issue if thats the case, needs looking at/replacing or whatever [img]/smile.gif[/img]

hmmm. lol..
the one we had didn't get any worse, but being a taxis it sat on ranks a lot so did eventually goose the battery, just dont idle it [img]/tongue.gif[/img]
