Trip Computer vanished
Hi Guys My Trip Computer Readout has just vanished, but it still lights up.
Why?
Maybe a Coincidence, but the oil light was on recently ( pressure is ok so i assume sender is shot ) now at the same time as the trip thing, the oil light has gone back out.
Is this Fairly Common?

Mine goes off occasionally too. Try giving it a smack, the ribbon cable from the computer to the display maybe loose. If that doesnt work, take it out and unscrew / unclip the face and make sure the wires are in place properly.
Think theres about 6 to 8 wires that look like a bunch of twist ties before you separate them.

if you have blown the fuse it should show a little F in the bottom right corner of the trip computer display

Ok so it was the fuse, lol
But it has blown twice again since, and the other day i had a totally flat battery, and the battery is ok, alternator kicking out ok.
Could something have drained it, but then how if the fuse was blown?
Or are these totally unconnected.
Lost now.
Fuse also has headlamp warning and reverse lights as you all know, but these seem ok.
Help.

That fuse also does the check-control system too (All the warning lights left hand side of the dashboard. Collent level, brake pad wear, oil level, brake light detection etc).
What is very strange is that my trip computer has been showing the "F" all week and now it's gone and I've not changed anything????
Is that definitly what the F means?
