I also got an LED on the dash by the headlight switch. It dont seem to do anything tho. The one in the interior sensor flashes for a minute at about twice a second when I deadlock the car then flickers every few seconds after that. Not sure if the ultrasonics work tho. But I can set off the alarm by opening the boot, so something is working.
Any way to self test it?

Easy way to check if the factory fit alarm is working is to pop the bonnet. Deadlock the vehicle, wait 20 seconds for arm. Goto the front of the car, lift the bonnet up, keep your ears away from the alarm hooter.
If it works you'll know about it.
Anything else, key fobs etc are non-factory fit. If you have one and it aint working, you need to know the make of it, and where it was fitted to be able to do anything about it. Unless its a VX aftermarket, it wont deadlock your doors.
Most times it pays to get another and rip out the old stuff, and start afresh

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->so i'm prob gonna rip it out an put a clifford in<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
i had a clifford before never had a days problem but just before christmas a few calibras got nicked on here and the common factor was clifford iirc, put the toad on AI606 with prox sensors for £300
