I bought a second siren for a few quid...
But if you want the hooter to go off, youl have to take a spur off the indicator pulse wires from the back off the remote locking unit to the horn +. You'l need a diode, otherwise your horn might beep in time with the indicators when signalling, which could be quite hilarious!
Ive attached (I think) a pic... just replace the siren for your horn. I suggest routing the wire through your glove box with a switch on it, so it can be disabled easily when you / your neighbours get thoroughly hacked off with it.
Hope this helps!

I wouldn't do it. Don't want all the racket, the sirens bad enuff !
I wired mine up so the sidelights flash with the arm / disarm. Mine chirps once for arm, 3 times for disarm. I have the option of silent alarm by hitting the other button fist, but mine is an aftermarket kit and nothing to do with VX.

I did the same thing as craig, with a small siren tucked up inside the glovebox area and patched into the indicators line as he said, including the diode. Had the idea but wasn't sure how to wire it correctly, alarmbod pointed out the benefits of the diode (can you imagine how embarrasing it would have been having the sirent chirping intime to the indicators when turning a corner!)

Mines stuffed up behind the glove box too, Leigh... I reckon it woulda been too loud in the engine bay. Its way too loud from inside, but when do you lock yourself in? Scares the cráp outta the mrs tho, if i lock it with her inside, when we're at a petrol station or somethin.... hehe.
I wired the siren earth into a switch in the glovebox so it can be turned off quickly if i want to.
I didnt think about the diode until Chris (alarmbod) told me about it... and yeah, it would be quite embarassing!!! Just make sure you get it the right way round

I'm thinking of doing the above and I'm not too electrically minded, I was wondering what diode I would need as Maplin's website seems to list loads of types?
Also, with the siren, there's a few on their website and I'm thinking of getting a mini one that is 115db at 30cm, I'm wondering if that's gonna be loud enough to hear from outside the car if it's planted under the dash. The other option is 115db at 1 metre, I don't want it too loud though.
