faults

hi all just bought my first calibra its a se5 but ive found a few faults just woundring if you could help me solve them no1 is that the oil pressure gauge reads off the scale when ignition is on no2 is that the temp gauge on the clocks dosent read at all no3 does the sunroof go completly back or do they only tilt???

Hi and welcome to the club [img]/smile.gif[/img]

1- is a bad connection on the oil pressure sender unit which is located by the oil filter, pull off wires clean and put back on.

2- Not sure (iam still asleep)

3 - The sunroof should tilt first then slid back, at the back of the sunroof in the headlining is a small hole covered by a cap, remove cap and use a allen key to see if the sunroof moves.

1 - as said its probably a dodgy connection on the sender
2 - the engine temp or the external? if its the engine temp, again its probably a corroded connection, your looking for a single blue wire with a spade on the end for this on the engine, by the thermostat probably
3 - its probably broken, they should slide back but they tend to fail so only tilt, its a right pain to fix and probably not worth it.

I think there is a tool in the tool box for that aswell? Looks like a long box spanner shaped thing.

Yeah got one in my toolbox its called a ................. Allen key :icon_mrgr

thanks for the help sunroof now opens got a temp reading just changed the sesor and changed oil press switch thanks for the help
