camber correction kits are a must for a 4x4 to save the transfer box, if you dont its no problem on a fwd just have to have the tyres rotated front to rear,
i have my calibra lowered and the camber was out on the back by about 1.5 degrees although the camber is a little out it feels like it helps the backend to grip the corners better,

as for brakes definately reccomend greenstuff pads as they produce very little dust, discs thats down to personal choice

be good to see you at a meet i go to the hook meet, it is pretty much the main meet in the south

Rigth I tried to look at the bleeding tyre for / (you may think it looked crap toddy but seriously, says it in all in the /) Cant see nowt, mudflaps in way and just generally didnt have my heart in looking to be honest, pub was calling!!!

Will have a butchers 2mor and get back to you all.

The ride is a little bouncy on the motorway, dont get me wrong its gorgous round corners, but dampers are not really damping. I am hoping I will get used to it!! In the mean time if anyone has any decent shocks (Konis or another good make) that you are selling let me know, as I cant see me being very happy with this cruising motorway ride!!!

lowering V6

by vip3r » Wed Apr 19, 2006 11:28 am

Hi all, am looking into lowering my V6 calibra although am a little concerned about the rear tyre scrub but am thinging the improved look will be worth it. I was initialy thinking of getting the eibachs and keeping the standard springs but then had a look on ebay at at some of the cheaper makes. I know very liitle about lowering kits, can anyone tell me how somthing like the Jamex spring and shock kit going for about £190 on ebay would compare to just putting the eibac springs on.

Regards
Mart

Where did you manage to get a set of -35mm Eibach springs for £140?

I'm looking for some but the best I've found so far is £173.98

Nice one mate. Glad you like the new handling.
I'm finally getting some springs for my Calibra, I have been longing to lower the car back down after my front drivers side spring failed 2 years ago. I ended up with lowering performance shocks with new standard springs. Yuck!!! Thought I was in an off-roader!!
