soak them over night in wd40 or plusgas

if that dont work then blowtorch

or wack the bolts with a hammer see if the shock releases them

didnt try hitting the socket onto the bolt. dont have a blowtorch either. will try hammering next time as ill be putting on the braided hoses.
when you say soak them, i guess u just mean spray a load on and try again the next morning

its 2 17mm bolts that hold it on to the strut, ya? just in case im trying the wrong ones

thought it was 7mm hex to get the calipers off the front struts

backs cant remember

yes soaked as in fully wet

know the fronts are hex alright but it looked like the 17s were holding them on the back. cud well have the wrong bolts but it looked like those. must check TIS now

right thanks, will do. might try some diesel as well. failing that ill need to heat them up somehow. (obviously, not directly after the diesel [Ka-blam-o])

its just rust and crap coatt the threads in copper grease before you put them back, thats why i like doing the work my self because when it comes to doing it the second time i know its gonna be easy

Before you soak them try wacking them with a hammer and wack a socket on and try that.

By wack I dont mean tickle it with the hammer, I mean beat the **** into it.

after doing my f'n arb links last year, i think i know what kind of force you are suggesting hehehe!!

i reckon it was probably the previous owner when he painted the calipers cos i had the same prob when i was changing my rocker cover, bolts being overtightened and no grease used.
