car gets really bad wobble at around 60-70mph, like i have mentioned the ABS light is always on, could there be a link? if not, is it most likley down to bad tyres and balancing?

It could damage your wheel bearings, drive shaft/gaitor, anti roll links, wishbones and anything suspension related.

who knows tbh could wear stuff out a bit quicker and give you some play in various parts but i suspect a couple of weeks wont be an issue, more likely to give you limp wrists

ok, well i have only just got the car on the road, and its had it all the time, so i suspect its been like it for a while before i had it, so any damage that would of happened has probably happened already.

its funny you say that, iv had 11 cars now and at least 4 (my current turbo included) had wheels out of balance, why people didnt bother to spend the £10 to get it sorted i dont know
