brake disc retaining screws

are the brake disc retaining screws sold separately or only with the discs?

also some fookwit managed to mangle one of the front screws so im gona have to drill it out. no wonder i was always having trouble when putting on the wheel nuts as the brake disc had turned slightly, but just enough to still get the bolts in.

Yeah you can get them seperatly mate, had to drill my last lot out. Found the easiest way of doing it was starting with a small drill bit then working up, then cleaning the thread with a tap and die.

An impact screwdriver is a handy tool for those type of jobs

funny that my local vauxhall garage said that the screws are purely there to stop the disc dropping off onto ya foot. There was me thinking they were there for locating the discs properly and stopping the damn things spinning when ya pop the wheels back on !

Yeah tbh I don't think its the end of the world if you haven't got them - the wheels do a fairly good job of keeping the discs on (a damn sight better job than a little screw )

ya but it does help to stop the disc spinning different to the hub while you fit the wheels

I haven't got the retain screws in mine and everything is fine, reason is i buggered them when trying to take them out and had none to fit. Don't worry if you haven;t got them the wheel holds them fine (so i was told)

yeah they are just there to stop the disc moving when mounting the wheels
