Brake Problem, Rover 400

Sorry it's not calibra related but I am a member in need of help (and not only with the brake problem :jester: )

Brakes worked fine.
Replaced offside rear brake pipe due to MOT failure.
Replaced rear pads due to being low.
Flushed out all the old brake fluid.
Replace with new fluid from the shop
Bleed the brake.
Pedal almost touches the floor
Bleed Brake again, no air bubles
Pedal is still the same, on test drive the brake work JUST enough for the ABS to kick in
Removed all four wheel, turned each disc and tried the brakes. All stopped when the pedal was pushed.

The only thing I can think of is the master cyclinder has gone ??
Any more ideas ??

Did you bleed the each wheel cylinder or caliper in sequence?

Yes mate, well according the 'Haynes manual' that is :jester:
We used the two man method with clear tube. Tried it with and without the engine running.

Are you making sure to keep the resovouir topped up with fluid when your bleeding the brakes?

Resovouir never went near the Min mark, I kept a close eye on it.
I tried the pressure bleed, It either p***ed it all out the cap or didn't give enough pressure to bleed them. Tried it at 20,15 and 10psi. I'll try modding the cap to get a better fit.

Could it be the master cylinder or a bad air lock ??
