Alternator Fan V6

Just been looking at the back of the alternator cooler fan box. Should there be a duct which takes the air to the alternator round there as on mine the exhaust from the fan just blows out of the back of the fan cover and goes nowhere else.

hi yes there should be a piece of like metal ducktin pipe one end has a plastic bit on it and it just pushes into the cooling fan and the metal cover over the rear of the alternator and a small grub screw secures it you can still get these from vauxhall i can get you part number if you need it

I am breaking a V6 at the moment, and on the basis this bit will be no good for going in a Mk2 Astra with the engine someone can have it if it's any good to them.

I wasn't sure if I would need it or if there would be space for it. I will definitely be holding onto it to see how I get on now. Thanks.
