don`t make any differance if i rev the balls off it when its warm it still only gives out 13v max. tested it at the battery aswel and still only 13v. the eco i owned give 14v at the battery and 12v-13v on the in car voltmeter until i hit the fuse panel the 1 time.

well if its 13 under load it doesnt really matter does it. if its dropping below the standing voltage of the system with only medium load then start to worry

put a volt meter across a good battery & providing the alternator is good you should get 13.5 / 14 volts on tickover ,so i thought . any less especially at higher revs one of them is on its way out or breaking down somewhere ...

Mine does the same starts on 14v and after 5-10 mins drops a touch when warm. I was worried until I read this thread.

If the battery was overcharging wouldnt the engine management light come on?

14v is a healthy charge for a 12v battery, (with all lights , heated seats windows etc off) ... i drive a truck which is 24v the meter reads a healthy charge of approx 27v.... you must be putting more in than your taking out ...

Bleedin'ell..i've seen mine drop to 8!!! believe it or not and not with loads of ice..seems to have a mind of its own..will show 14 when started, especially on a cold morning..then hover around the 12 mark?
