Rough Price
How much would it roughly be to get the wishbones changed?

If you get a garage to do them expect to pay about 160 quid including tracking.
When I got mine done I had more money than time so I paid the MOT station to change them. Gen vauxhall parts etc... they invoiced 40 each plus 1 1/2 hrs labour plus tracking (Which needed sorting anyway) = about 160. IIRC.
so anything from 25 to 160 depending upon how you want to play it.

I've done them myself before. I don't have a garage and I'm not too sure what the weathers going to do. And most importantly I'm lazy. lol.
Is tracking needed, I've heard from various places it is and from others that it isn't.

I just phoned Charlie Browns up. They recon 198 quid including tracking!! What a rip off!!
88 quid per side!<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
That sounds about right. Don't forget garages have huge overheads including mechanics wages, buildings, equipment, liability insurance etc etc...
I got my tracking done as it needed doing beforehand. it's worth getting it all set up properly.

<!--QuoteBegin-Animal+--><div class='quotetop'>(Animal)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->70 quid labour just to fit that!
Looks like I'm doing it myself out of general principle.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
It's Easy to say that until you get underneath and a bolt is seized or the parts don't exactly fit, then bit's of mud / rust get in your eyes, then it starts raining!
You will either have to suffer under the car or suffer the garage bills - eitherway it's gonna hurt.
But when it's don'e it'll feel like new again and you'll be driving around with a big grin on ya face!

Funny, four months before the MOT I had the front subframe off and the gearbox out etc... didn't have the time and money then to replace the lower arms then - wish I had now!
My motive was the same - Laziness. After I'd done everything else (welding etc) for the MOT I just said to the garage sort them out for me and got the wife to stick it on her credit card LOL
( i paid her back though)
