Ok for drivers door, but I need one for the passenger door aswell, but theres a sh*t load of wires running near the passenger door. Does the same wiring convention follow through the whole car? ie +12v red, Ground brown etc. I might just end up using the +12v from the head unit, it is half way between. I just dont like running too many wires near those heater control cables the alarm LED wires already obstruct one of them already.

brown is earth..might help if you buy a cheap test light and find a live wire on the passengers side

or make one with a 12v bulb and a couple bits of wire

Not sure what is for you never said but you will find a red 12+ coming out of passenger door loom along with quite a few more it will be thicker than the rest

Are you fitting illuminated sills? For mine I got a live 12v from the fuse box on drivers side and the 12v from the alarm on the other side.

Why do vauxhall have Brown - ve Earths and Black + ve Live wires - contrary to all other cars I've worked on - Strange.
