Do I change or Modify

Now I've got my new cally(pics to follow) I need a little advice as to the wheels fitted. I've had a good look at them and it appears the fronts have been catching the front wings. The car has been lowered but I'm not sure by how much the wheels that are fitted are BBS 17" RX248 with an offset of ET40 and the tyres are 215/40/17. I can't decide ob whether to sell the wheels and tyres(I've been told that new these are £1300) or modify the front wing.
The reason I can't decide as to keep or sell is 1 front needs replacing and I was thinking of getting some cheaper 15's for now until the wheels are sold then have a look for a different set or do I get the 1 tyre replaced.

get the tyre replaced, i like the bbs alloys and 17's are good for the cally for drivability and for looks, 15's look a bit small imo

What do I do about them catching on the front wing?

Keep the wheels and get the edge rolled. Putting 15" on would be a step backwards and make it look silly, part of what a car looks like is the wheels that are fitted.
Mark...........It's Red........It's a V6............It's an SE9!..............and She's bad.

either mod the wing/arch liner or jack the car up a bit with taller springs

I agree with mark 100%, U dont know how much difference the wheels make till there off! I got my spear tyre and normal old tyre from the garage on at mo, doesnt look as chunky or low now.

Would fitting 205 instead of 215 make a difference? Seeing as I've got to change 1 tyre and the other has rubbing on the outer edge.
