Locks/Locking..

the drivers door lock has had a fit.

It jammed completely earlier so i couldnt lock the car, after pulling the door card off and fiddling with it its now locking.

Now the door will lock from the inside and with the key but if you throw the locking from the alarm/remote or the passenger side the drivers door wont lock and the car unlocks again. Any idea why?

The drivers lock locks the whole car no problem.

Need some help here, anyone had this problem? any ideas?

maybe the microswitch is messing around.

im wanting to delock anyway so will disconnect them both side and try it again, i get the feeling its either the lock motor that side or the control unit if its not the connection from door to body

whats the problem anyway. they will only gget 100 metres down the road before it conks out anyway!!!!!!!! lol

i have some delocked handles in my garage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

iv got some vectra rear handles painted in the right colour off my old car [img]/biggrin.gif[/img] just need to fix the boot lock and remote locking before i fit em

OMG this car is FUBAR

Replaced the drivers door lock motor, with another drivers side one.

Great now that doors locking.. but now the freaking passenger side isnt locking with the rest.. WTF? lol and the alarm cant seem to remember that its in valet mode when i reconnect the battery arghhh

time to buy a vectra, last one i had was faultless.. sorry to see it go infact lol never had this much trouble with one car before grrr

woo finally 2 yes 2 lock motors later its working again, both the doors had failed.. damn whats next?

bloody car.. its still not 100% was working fine yesterday but when i unlocked the car today the passenger door didnt unlock with the rest, a few moments of fiddling and its running with the rest again but whats the problem?? i might change the control unit as well at this point as i have one spare.

well thats twice now, whole car unlocks on the remote except the passenger door, then if you unlock it on the door inside it starts workin with the rest.. odd

You sure you haven't got a loose wire where you plumbed in the remote central locking unit? Those blue scotchlocks could be the culprit [img]/wink.gif[/img] They should be soldered. (I assume it's the Vauxhall "System 90" you have fitted??)
