Does anyone know the voltage at the rear lights for tail lights?

same as anywhere in the car

somewhere between 8 and 15v

well 8 is quite a drop lol the wire is still made of copper so there shouldn't be much resistance and it always depends on battery condition and if the engine is running or not

how could it have anything over 12? or why? sory im not being picky, i dont know thats why im asking, if the lamp is rated at 12 volts and it gets 15 flowing through it wouldnt it just blow it? surely thats like putting a 110v lamp in a domestic light fitting?!

Of cause thinking about it (Must have been a Monday moment) the bulbs state 12v don't they.
