Help needed
After burning smell while driving last week car will not shut off properly when I turn off and remove key the batery light stays on and there was a clicking/buzzing which I have since traced to a relay in the drivers side footwell next to ECU.
This relay was also heating up yesterday as I had the car running, when driving all dash lights are out although on a couple of occasions on a short drive yesterday the battery light started flashing and the engine management light came on at the same time.
The battery has just ben replaced so I suspect it is this relay however any other sugestions as to what it might be would be gratefully accepted as I have just been to my local Vauxhall dealer who says (without even looking at the relay properly) that it is the fuel pump relay which seems sensible as its next to the ECU and they want £32 in advance for it to be ordered, will not accept it back if it is not the fault and insist they have to put the car on tech2 to set the new relay.
So if anyone is breaking a Cally and has a spare relay part number
GM 90378651 could I take it off your hands.
Or if anybody knows how to sort it without giving Vauxhall all my money.

well mate you can flash the codes using a paperclip yourself, which will save you money by reading the codes yourself rather than paying vauxhall to tell you have a look here mate

Thanks for all suggestions and offers of help, car is sorted finaly traced problem to faulty alternator after talking to a few people who had similar problems on cavvys.
