Rear discs question.

Rear discs question.

by Phil » Fri Sep 08, 2006 8:59 am

I had a new set of discs arrive yesterday.
I noticed that the rear discs are different. The drum part of the new discs is about 10 - 15mm shallower (disc to wheel mounting face) than the discs that are currently on my car.

Will they still fit okay?

Surely the weel will sit further in??

Thanks,

Phil

I dont think they will fit, I had the same problem some time ago the rear discs i got from Ebay were 60mm and i needed 70mm.

If you measure from the bottom of the drum the the disc i think it should be 70mm.

The changeover on the rear discs is a right pain and is not very well defined by vauxhall. Basically you need to check the sizes of the discs before buying. Bought mine from wallace a few years back had them all painted up to match the calipers before i fitted them only to find they were incorrrect. Getting that hammerite of was a right pita.

Hi guys. Well, confirmed and the discs have gone back, £12.50 extra my expense, £10 there end extra too. - And a couple of weeks hold up too!!!
I have the 270mm discs too. It even has one more hole on the hub part over the 260mm disc???
