it hasnt got the override button m8 just the two window switches please please please help me lol its driving me mad now and ive got a long journey coming up lol

I think that the circuit on the switch unit is giving you an earth when it shouldnt be. And somehow, when the door is open it gives an alternate path to earth allowing the transistor switch to work, hence opening windows with door open.

Mine has a similar problem, just got to get to the scrappie to see if the got one out of a Cav with electric front windows.

But, before that, I gotta fix the electrics on my engine [img]/rolleyes.gif[/img] .

ive sent u a pm m8 but im begining to think that its the wire from the fuse to the switch that is fried lol but im still open to sugestions if i unplug the switch assembly it still blows fuses???? there is 2 black wires coming from the fuse wich one is the one that runs to the switch arrrrggggghhhhhh its doing my head in lol

Have you had any of the interior/centre console/seats etc out prior to getting the problem?

right thats it im calling out an auto electrician cause i can find the problem i have no idea where the wires from the fuse run and in all honesty its really ****ing me off now !!!!!!!!!!!

You may want to try this:
<ol type='1'>[*]Disconnect all the following:<ol type='1'>[*]Central locking ECU</li>[*]window switch.</li></ol></li>[*]Switch on the ignition, If the fuse still blows, its probably the electric mirror circuit.</li>[*]If it dont blow, plug in the central locking ECU, if it blows its that,</li>[*]If it still dont blow, its either the window switches or the wiring.</li></ol>Good Luck

well ive finally sorted this one out myself YAY lol it was all down to a short on the leccy mirror controller so if any one else has the same prob try looking there too hope this helps
