What can cause this? (vid clip)

Can all you seasoned car mechanics (or anyone else for that matter..) have a look at this small vid clip, and tell me what you think might be at fault?

I had the car jacked up at the front on both sides, got the wheels up to about '40' and then let it 'coast'. The drivers side wheel continued spinning for ages (not suprisingly..) but the passenger wheel slowed really quickly and then 'stutters' (see vid clip..)

The car has pulled to the left for a while now, and whilst I need my tracking done, I'm thinking maybe this is compounding the problem (and acclerating the wear on the left front at the same time..).
CV joint on it's way out? or wheel bearing? I do have a noticeable constant noise now when driving, hard to describe it's like a low grinding/road noise, but not normal tyre noise.
anyway, here is the feature presentation...

thats in gear still i presume?

the diff will allow only one wheel to turn, so i'd say your brakes are probably binding a little that side and thus its sending most the power to the other side, and this side just millign round a little bit.. go for a short drive and use the brakes as little as possible, then get out and compare the heat of both wheels.. you'll find this one is a lot hotter if they are binding.. however you should be able to feel it by spinning them out of gear.. or do they both feel ok like that?

Cheers for the quick responses lads.
Yeh it was in gear Stupink, ((well, 99% sure, it was about 4 weeks ago..) , cos I remember it felt 'weird' to leave the car in gear and get out of it!

I'm pretty sure I've spun them by hand in the past (just playing/testing as you do..), but I'll hopefully get time to have another look this weekend, tho come to think of it I did seem to think that the left front was noticeably warm after only a short 10-15 min drive home from work the other night.

I've got some plain (not greenstuff) EBC pads to fit to the front in the garage, tho the pads aren't anywhere near needing changing yet, maybe kill two birds with one stone and do them so the piston will be getting pushed back anyway.

I never thought it would be the brake cos I thought it would just stop once the wheel slowed down, rather than stutter along as it does in the vid, but it makes sense I guess with 40mph (possibly more) worth of engine power behind it.

Wouldn't know where to start with stripping it down! and I don't think I'd trust it once it was back together! LOL.
Is it difficult to do (no Haynes to hand as I'm in work at the mo). Would anything need replacing, or just cleaned etc?

I'll check at the w/end ,time & weather permitting,to see if that side feels noticeably different when spun by hand, and try the short run as Stupink suggested, if I go out late evening the roads should be quiet enough to avoid having to brake much.

usually its the dust seal which has gone which allows the clean part of the piston to become affected by rust when the pads have worn down so not permitting it to return to its normal position, if I was stripping them down I'd certainly replace the dust seal and inner seal, I think VX do a refurb kit
