Hmm,now i was told you need a special tool to compress the bushes? Is that not the case then?

the ajustable kit's are easy to install as they are polyeurathane. they're not compressed in like the std ones, they come in two halfs.
getting the old ones out is more fun though.

basically i did it in my own garage. if you have a large vice its fairly easy but does require two peeps.

basically tools are
stanley knife
a large socket that is as wide as the metal edge where the bush is
a small socket.

i bascially cut both ends off the bush. so you can see the metal lip. and use the large socket to push the bush into. and the smaller one pushes the bush basically inside a vice.
