intermitent brake fault

every now and then while driving when you press on the brakes to use them sometimes the pedal is nice and firm and the brakes work very well and then another time you press the brakes and the pedal goes all the way to the floor with little or no resistance and you dont stop till the pedal gets to the bottom any ideas guys its not losing fluid the discs and pads werechanged i got it

Could be some air in the system. Try bleeding the brakes , may need a fluid change.
