guess who has yet another prob :D
driving home from my trip to tesco tonight, looked down... and ABS light is on! GRR.
altho on the up side, the strange noise that happened when i put my foot on the brake which i thought was coming from txbox has now stopped, and the brakes actually work now!
can you read the abs codes the paperclip way?

If you have a wire on pin A and K you can probably read the abs, but I think pretty much nothing on the later ones is readable with the paperclip, so you're probably screwed.
So the noise was the brakes afteral? Do I win a prize? [img]/biggrin.gif[/img]
ABS faults are usually the sensors, occasionally just the ring aroudn the driveshafts want cleaning, but the sensors often fry themselfs, without being able to read the codes you could manually go around them all, unplug the connector(about a foot down the wire from the sensor) and test each with a multimeter to make sure they are all about the same(measure the sensor side, using the multimeter to check the resistance). May just tell you what you need to know. fronts can be done by putting the steering on full lock one way then the other, rears you have to crawl under the car as the connectors are on the shell just to the right of the rear diff.

personally atm.. im more worried about 1. being warned by the ex bf's ex to be carefull whrn i try and stop in my car. 2, her finding out what car i actually have coz she parked behind me in maccys yesterday afternoon, and 3, leaveing my car parked 2 mins from her house while shopping in tesco before this light came on....
could lack of brake fluid from a 'leak' cause the abs light to come on?

hmm, got in the car this afternoon to go and puchase some gas. strated car, hmm.. abs light went out, went down to hayle, 5 miles or so... still no light. returned from hayle... still no light, untill i pulled into my estate.. car jerked and tehre appears abs light! parked up, restarted the car and its gone again!
oh and all teh time the abs wasn't on, i had the noise back on the brake pedal too.
