Central locking problem

by dannova12 » Thu Mar 08, 2007 1:38 am

Ive got a problem with my central locking, it was working fine and now i get nothing. The fuse is fine and ive tried another drivers side solenoid and motor from another cally which i know works and got nothing. I also changed the central locking module (in the footwell under the ecu) for one which i know work as tested in another calibra, and still get nothing. Is there a realy or something that im missing?

Please help as the fuel flap lock had locked in place which meant i had to mess around at the petrol station to remove it just so i could put petrol in the car.

I take it you're locking the car with the key from the drivers door, inspect the back of the lock as there's a ring which operates the micro switch which brakes off, if it has it will be lying in the bottom of the door

Should only be a few quid (less than a tenner I think)for that ring. Mine partially broke a few years ago (before I fitted a remote locking kit), can't remember the vaux name for it, but the guy in stores ID'd it from their parts diagrams over the phone without much problem.

it's a little bit fiddly as you'll need to take the door handle out, then strip the lock down, there's also a very small ball bearing so make sure you do it on a table inside so you don't lose it

ive investigated all of the above and still no light at the end of the tunnel. Even when i sit in the car now with all doors locked and operate the locks inside nothing happens. Although when i lock the car from outside i can hear the boot deadlock, but none of the door servos make any noise.
