Its not designed for high rpm. Will still be running Hyraulics at first so will not be rev'ing above 8k. Will see how that goes first, maybe have to go for solid lifters and change the cams yet !

seems pointless having it revving really high to me, can get loads of power at 6k rpm surely

Finishing a course that ive been working on for the last 5 years this month so will be able to crack on big time at the start of May. Don't think it will be built for the early shows but will try and make a few! Maybe you could detour via Bristol to pick me up :icon_mrgr

While everyones been outside washing and polishing their cars thought I would have a go at doing the pickup pipe. Been quoted silly money to have it made by a few places round here due to the time involved, those that were prepared to do it anyway!

Luckily it will be tucked away in the engine as its not that pretty but should do the job nicely :icon_mrgr

I pressurised it with the compressor to check for leaks and gave it a good blow out while I was at it!

lol, gonna be starting this weekend with the rebuild, had to put things on hold over the last couple of months with other commitments. I think I have everything ready now just need to bolt it all together. Should hopefully make good progress this bank holiday though.

Cant see it making any/many shows this year though now :frown:

I made up the pipe myself, bought a few bits of tubing from a local enginnering shop and cut/bent it to shape. Did have a bit of help with the welding though
