Knocking noise + rattly noise from front of car

U know wot, im sure we have all been at this point before...

u go thru a stage of your car being a god send, realiable, no faults running as sweeeeet as - very pround of her.... but then...

BANG! sh1t loads of problems, well i am at this stage ...again my friends. i have a couple of wee faults (i hope anywayz!!)

first of all i noticed their has been some squealing/grinding/vibrating noise from the front of my car (drivers side - in the alloy wheel direction) i remembered from past experience it was the brake shielding on the wheel (behind the wheel/disc) so i bent this out alittle, problem solved! (very chuffed, and with very little effort/time)

Anywayz it is now doing it from the passenger side, no problem i thought, gave the brake shielding a wee bit of "tweakage" job done i thought ... key word... thought. It didnt seem to do it, so i thought i will tinkering around alittle bit more, nope, still no good!

on the way driving hom from my folks (not sure if this is related or not) but i hear a big clod/bang/knock type noise from the passenger side front of the car (i though the whole front axis was going to fall off!!!) so i get home very carefully!, withit it knocking very occasionally when turning right and bumps on the road

Get the ramps out drive up on to the ramps, smack the handbrake on, turn the engine off, and start to open the door when i notice im very slowly creeping backwards, down the ramps!!! so i think nothing of it, drive back up and put the handbrake on even more tighter (i have had this recently renewed, works a treat on level ground) same thing happens again!

s0d this i think, back on the ramps, put it in 1st gear ... seems to hold, open the door ...and slowly in 5 sec intervals the car leaps back slowly..... back on the ground i go ...

What is going on??? anyone please?

lound knocking is one of the ARB links is broken ..... will check pads toooo - clean em up
