Three choices

1, Get a new part form Vaux, take out the whole dash and fit new part, if vaux still do that part !

2, Remove windscreen and fit part.

3, Get a new cover from <a href="http://www.lenk-opel-tuning.de/" target="_blank">http://www.lenk-opel-tuning.de/</a> which goes over the cracked one.

Good luck to you! I planned to do this with my V6 when I had the screen replaced, found a guide (on cavweb? or somewhere...) but ended up I only had an afternoon to do it or I'd be left without a windscreen overnight(!) so in the end I decided it was just too big a job for the time. Removing the dash completely looks a real pain in the arse, you might get away with removing key bits like glove box, airbags, steering surround and centre consoule then loosening the main dash and shuffle it forward a little to get the new part in...?

Mine has just cracked too, but I think it adds character to be honest.

Use a max power sticker of a semi-naked girl to cover it up. You can have the "crack" wherever you choose then!

do you want to fix it like this?

if yes, stay tuned after the breaks.

we're back!
So you want to fix your Dashboard
i had a new dashboard with a good non cracked windshield vents...
To take it of i had to break the supports, so i ended up with something "close" to a "cover" from lenk... That gave me an idea.
i took away my old vents, with lots of pacience, some tiny pieces are still glued in the dashboard, but that didnt stoped me, i used a rubber based glue to glue the big part, and contact glue to glue the parts that sit near the vinyl. i also had to glue the "covers" from the left and right side, the result? no noises , and no one would notice that has been fixed.

Case closed

i took the dash out of one of my cars, in fact the dash is in my kitchen at the moment, it is very painstaking job to do, realy not worth the effort, would be better just to cover it with something, but its your choice<!--QuoteBegin-Baldypie+--><div class='quotetop'>(Baldypie)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Anyone got any suggestions what i could do with a crack in the dashboard up against the windscreen, its doing my head in as its right in the middle.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
