Uneven Rear Tyre Wear

Any issues relating to suspension, steering and brakes.

Hi there, i was under my car earlier patching up the exhaust and glanced back at the rear tyres and noticed that the N/S rear is wearing really quickly on the inside shoulder. Dont know if its linked but in wet conditions it can be a real handfull round bends. Any ideas? Cant be doing with replacing tyres after only a thousand or so miles!

Have you had the suspension lowered?

If you have had the car lowered the rear camber will be out,its a common problem, you can buy camber correction bushes but they are a pig to get fitted.

To my knowledge the car has not been lowered, doesnt look like it to me. Surely if that was the case then both rear tyres would wear on the inside shoulder as the camber would be out on the pair.

change the semi arm as the wheel might be pointing out hence eating the tyre on the inside

I would also make sure all your tyres are balanced and the trackin is all ok...

Most of the time uneven tyre wear is done to this, or under/over inflated tyres...

It does pull to the left, but i thought that would only scrub the fronts off? I noticed on saturday when i put into a right hander its skitty, but fine on the left's. Any ideas?

Had another look at this earlier, as did Vauxcare. Its running on the original springs, theres doesnt seem to be any play in any of the bushes, the arms seem in good condition with no visible buckles or bends. With the back end jacked up the rear wheels sit upright but when its on the deck the wheels angle in at the top. Cally's riding on 195/50 15's with 45 Offset, dont know if that would make any difference. Im running out of ideas and faith.
