rear wheel bearings

help!! lol

is there any easy way to do this job or is just a pure pain in the butt?

any tips from the experts!! (ps... not the loaded ones.... they would just take to vauxhall!!)

yeh, thats the thing.... its the whole arm, not just the hub from what i can see

From what I remeber you need to take the whole rear arm off which also means unbolting the rear driveshafts. Good time to check the bushes whilst you've got it all out. It's even a pain in the ar5e to press the bearings in/out as the arm itself gets in the way of the press. I seem to remember using a lopped off bit of scaffolding pole or similar to push the new ones back in (you'll knacker the new bearing if you push on the inner cage/race).

Definately a machine shop job if you don't have the right kit although I'm sure some have done it with brute force, ignorance and a gas axe...!!!

Mine was done by hammering with skill by well experienced mechanic. Most difficult part was to remove backing plate that holds brake shoe. All the botls were rusted and stuck, worst thing happened. One bolt just snapped!!!.
