Throttle position sensor
Hi all, just bought a cally turbo with three sensor faults. One is the throttle position sensor - voltage high (fault code 21). I phoned my nearest vauhall dealer and all he could come up with on the parts list was a 'switch assembly throttle vave'. Is this the part i need???
The others were 'no Crank shaft sensor signal' and the 'Hall sensor'. Regarding the hall sensor, the guy at vauxhall said that i could either unplugg it (but the engine light would stay on!!) or it needs a new distributor. Should i unplugg or fit the part???
Cheers.

Does the light stay on while driving? if not forget the codes untill you see it come on.. they may be old codes.
"voltage high" for your TPS though could indicate its just unplugged.. the voltage is across the wiring.. so check it's plugged in first. its the one secured by two screws on the left hand side of the throttle body.
you won't get a crank shaft signal without the engine running..

Yeah the light stays on while driving.
I'll check the tps is not unplugged.
And i think the previous owner did the pin test on the ECU with the engine running.
Me and a mate are gonna do a retest soon with a proper testing device. Should we disconnect the battery for a while in order to reset the ECU???
