Any electrical issues

break lights staying on

hi lads,does any one know what would cause my break lights to stay on while im driving?it only happens every now and then.sometimes if i keep pressing the break it will sort its self out but driving down the road it mite happen again!any help/advice would be great

How do you know your brake lights are staying on while driving ?

Could be a dodgy brake switch under the brake pedal.

thanks for the quick replys lads.i can see them on at night while driving and 1 of the lads said it to me well ago when i was coming home from work.is the switch hard to replace?

typical!nothings easy to fix on that car of mine ha ha thanks for the help, thats one problem with the car off my list!!

does the lighs go out if you put your foot under the brake pedal and lift it up toward you, if so the switch may need adjusting usually they are adjustable

sometimes if i keep pumping the break it will go out!has any one here changed the switch?how long does it take and what exactally is involved in replacing the switch?i plan to take my buddys one fri night because of my nct sat morning!stone broke,cant afford a new one
