I'll post up a few vids later, nothing too serious except for the big oily mess on the driveway

It WILL be fixed and running tomorrow if I can get all the parts I need.....nothing like leaving it till the last minute

Well I managed to fix the first problem so take 2, got the engine up to temperature and was running well but it decided to shed its water, not good

Looks like I wont be making it to PVS :(

Exhaust manifold went a nice golden colour though

First up is the good progress of the night, gauge pod and gauges now in place, just need to make up the face for the lowest gauge and and do all the electronical trickery on the computer but very pleased with how they look.....

And heres a vid of the first run. Everything seemed to start and run quite well, the PAS cooler (rated at 10bar) didnt really seem up to the job though and you can hear the scream of the pump as it gave way and the nice explosion of PAS fluid everywhere

Image

Not a real problem me thinks but was a b*tch to remove with everything in place but managed to bypass for another go. Havent had a chance to see where the water came from in the second run but hoping its not to serious, more concerned that the fan didn't kick in.

Edit: cant get the vid to work, see if the direct link is any better...

we'll strip the whole engine down tonight and find the leak ... then repair the fan/fan sender. IT WILL BE FINE!

steve, you need me to pick anything up from anywhere on my way over? ... i'll finish at 4pm today and go straight to yours
