Extremely large necklace alert.

Managed to get the car running well late Friday night, unfortinately the list of things to get it ready for the MOT made it dam near impossible to finish. It would of also been stupid to take it on what is a 400+ mile round journay on its first trip so im gutted that it wont be at PVS but at the same time happy that it seems to be running well. Need to order a few bits this week but should hopefully get it MOT'd for next week and start running it in 8)

Im having a few problems getting a few custom parts. Everything is so close to the exhaust manifold so im having to relocate things. Will give an update at the end of the weekend hopefully with some good progress.

Bit of a progress update although been really busy with work so haven't had much of a chance to work on it.

Here's the thermostat, it was new so i'll put it down to leaving it in the housing at the powder coaters. Also a different housing to my other one so it was another trip to the powder coaters (3rd time lucky)

Image

After I think 5 journays to Pirtek, the turbo water return pipe fits, just a few bends but will keep it away from the manifold

Image

Managed to get some thermal sleve from the states too so I can wrap some of the other Roose pipes that are close to the manifold, dam thing..

Image

Things left to do are bleed the PAS/4x4, fit the bumpers and programme the gauges which hopefully I can do tomorrow and maybe even sort out the MOT this week.

Also need to insure it so I started putting a spec/list of bits done which I can give to the nice insurance people. Going to have to start a second policy so I think I'll have to re-start my no claims, be interesting to see how much I get quoted.

Hoping to get the car finished this weekend. Started off bleeding the PAS/4x4 system, was all going well until I put the steering on full lock and the temporary PAS cooler literally exploded. You can see from the pick where it expanded and split which managed to blow PAS fluid EVERYWHERE

Looks like theirs just too much pressure for a standard cooler having blown two now so I have bypassed it for the meantime

Image

Spent most of Saturday trying to programme the gauges but I just cant seem to get a connection between them and the laptop. Have tried everything, dam I hate electrics.

Fitted the bumpers this evening and even went on my first drive.....out of the garage  . Brakes are a little unexistant so will need to bleed them again before going for a spin.

I know Billing is still two weeks away but i'm hardly going to be home so things are looking a little tight all of a sudden :(
