update alert.

After 23 months and 2 days (not that im counting) the car finally made her first journey on the road, DAM was I paranoid about every little noise/knock. Big grin moment though :D

Got within a few meters of the MOT station and oil pressure went sky high and oil light came on. Quick look underneath and I was leaving a nice trial of oil behind me..... at least id find my way home

Topped up the oil at the MOT station (never a good start for an mot) and turned her on, oil light stayed on and pressure still bouncing off the top of the scale.

Neadless to say I didn't finish the MOT with oil pouring out everywhere but other than omissions we couldn't check the car did alright. One of the places oil is leaking is the turbo oil feed straight onto the turbo, you could only imagine the smoke as I pulled up at the mot station

Going to take out the pressure relief valve tomorrow but open to suggestions on anything else to check?

On a good note, dam she feels quick

Lesson of the day.........a front number plate being bluetacked on doesn't constitute being fixed securely

Bit of an update, had a few days off this week to try and get the car mot'd and up to billing. Nothing really has gone well, the few parts I needed have been delayed and am still not 100% happy with how it is running at the moment. Sorted out the oil leaks and pressure issues but tested the car for emissions and its about 0.6 so has been no point in going for another mot. Have ordered another lambda to see if that makes a difference.

O well there is always Billing next year

Not a very successful weekend for me, im starting to feel my car really doesn't like me  . My cars been down a friends house for the last week or so, decided to have a weekend abroad but at about 5.30 Sunday morning the alarm started going off probably due to the battery. I couldn't be contacted on my mobile (and had the car keys) so after a few unhappy calls to my dad at stupid oclock a mechanic was called out who managed to break into the car and rip out the siren. I have battery backup etc so disconnecting the battery didnt help  . Now hit with an expensive call out fee, a few unhappy people and what will probably be another big bill from Clifford to fix the alarm

Good news......well their isnt any.
